Ebersole is planning to run in the 2012 Comrades Marathon in South Africa and raise money to build a home for orphans of AIDs through the South African Children's Resiliency Project. Ebersole is trying to raise $40,000 to build a facility that will house six orphans in Africa. "If we can raise the money to build those homes, we can change the course of where their life may be heading. "Running to change somebody's life is exceptional," said Ebersole, a volunteer youth pastor at the Faith Family Church in Finksburg. FINKSBURG, Md. (AP) — Glenn Ebersole enjoys running. What is a good outdoor fire pit cover?
May 14, 2009 by praetas
I bought a fire pit a year ago which came with a plastic-style cover. A few months ago I decided to replace the cracked cover and bought a vinyl cover online. The vinyl cover claimed it was sun-resistant but lasted literally 3 weeks before it too started cracking.
I live in South Florida so we have a lot of sun. Does anyone know of a good replacement fire pit cover I can get, or maybe a material I should explore? I was thinking marine canvas might be good, but obviously I'd rather buy something in the store or online and not have something custom made to save money.
just use a piece of regular canvas and secure it with a bungee cord.
What type of ground cover should go around a fire pit?

My husband and I just "down-sized" our bare-bones fire pit in our backyard. It was a 6' diameter pit, with a circle 2 bricks high as the edge. We brought the sides of the pit in so it is about 3' in diameter and 4 bricks high, but are now left with 1 1/2' of dirt around the fire pit. What should we put over this (as a quick fix) so people sitting around the pit aren't stuck in mud? We're not ready to do any sort of paving...
go collect some flat rocks for now...
