This is a great outdoor fire pit for the price. Sometimes Walmart has it cheaper and sometimes Amazon does. It is worth checking them both as they both ship directly from Blue Rhino to your home. Also, the same fire pit is sold under the names Blue Rhino and UniFlame. Once it is put together it is very sturdy and easy to use. The fire puts out a lot of heat and flame. The mantel is a nice size leaving plenty of room for drinks, plates, bottles, feet, etc. The lava rocks and fake logs looked a lot better than I thought they would. Overall it is a beautiful fire pit. IMPORTANT NOTES: (many of these are mentioned in other reviews, but they will save you a lot of hassle and time) TIME: It says 1 hour but plan on 2 hours. We are very pleased with the Blue Rhino Firebowl. It looks great and provides a beautiful glow to our evenings on the patio. The slate tabletop is wide and allows plenty of room for plates, glasses, or for putting your feet up. Be sure to assemble this product near to where you are going to use it because it weighs 150+ pounds. You don't want to have to move it too far after assembly. We were pleased to see that they included a black vinyl cover that slips over the butane tank. This makes it virtually invisible when the tank is enclosed under the tabletop. Likewise, the square cover that fits over the entire table top was very effective in keeping the table and firebowl dry during the recent rains. Great product.

This is an great firepit for the price. There is some assembly required but it is pretty straight forward and only a few simple tools required. The table is very sturdy and appears that it will last for many years to come. Takes a standard 5 gallon propane tank which is a little tight to fit into its storage space, but can be done (hint: turn valve towards the fire pit as you place it into the storage location). [...]

May 20, 2011 |Since 2004, game has not been served (crocodile is the one exception) at Carnivore due to a change in bush meat regulations, so don't expect, say, giraffe on a stick, impala spare ribs or warthog sausages but, like a Brazilian churrascaria, the meat comes on an all-you-can-scoff basis.
In the centre of each table is a holder of sauces into which the various meats should be dipped. For crocodile and chicken there's a garlic sauce, while for beef it's a tikka masala. The fruit salsa is for pork, wildberry for camel and ostrich, and mint for lamb. "The chilli goes with everything," laughs our waiter, giving the two-tiered display a vigorous spin for good measure. There's a token amount of salad for the feeble-hearted and a welcome starter of minestrone and plenty of warm brown bread to mop up juices.
Our waiter is shocked when we place the table's little white flag on its side as a sign we have had enough. "Not surrendering already?" he cries in disbelief as a colleague tries to push in with a swordful of chicken livers.

Is it safe to use a fire pit table on an apartment balcony?

No- i had a friend find out the hard way. you might also want to check your apartment guidelines. most of them ban fire pits and grill usage on balconys.

Feb 04, 769 by Angie MAlright, I don't really know how to explain this, but I once saw on the TV (I think it was The Real World) this house had a table fire pit with these gel-like coals in the pit that you can light on fire, and I think they come in different colors. Does anyone know what these are called, or where to buy them? Thanks!!
I have seen these in either Lowe's or Home Depot in the aisle where they sell outdoor grilling equipment and accessories.
