Clock is ticking down to the Civil War Festival
May 19, 2012 | The cooks in the kitchen at Fork Inn will be cooking on that old
fireplace and it will be good. The clock is ticking away. March 31 is about here and we are making big plans for the grand Civil War Festival here at Fork Inn and Olgers store museum. Fork Inn is 208 years old and stands as a memorial to the past. It always is. The soldiers in the
tents will be all around Fork Inn. March 31 will bring back its history. The cooks from two churches will be here with their goodies. Bring the children, the grandchildren, the whole family. I will have the war memorabilia, flags of all sizes, Confederate hats, eight different kinds, and much more I can't mention. The museum will be open with its treasures. It was built by Fendell Sutherland in 1803 for his bride, Elizabeth. You can't afford to miss it. Let's hope and pray for a nice day. The famous chili is on the menu. I've got the Fortie Davis hot dog machine ready.

How do i make a clock, fireplace, bed, chair, and fan for model house????????????????????????????????????????

the fist answer i get will be rated best answer
thanks sooooo musch although i cant use any kits. it has to be original :(
See my other post for the fireplace instructions. A bed is easily made with a cardboard box (the kind jewelry comes in), covered with fabric for a bedspread and use little drawer sachets for pillows. We made a rocking chair by taking apart clothes pins and using the wood glued together as slats for the seat, back, arms and legs. Toothpicks can create a box fan, use the flat ones. Cut a small jewelry box bottom off and glue the toothpicks to the front and back as the grid for the fan. Create the blades inside by cutting the bottom into fins and glue it on the inside to one of the toothpick grids (ours did not have to be operational). The clock we used a small woman's watch face (like the type women wore in the 50's) and used balsa wood glued together to form a box (ours was a freestanding grandfather clock design, but you can make the same thing and hang it from the wall or place it on a table). We stained the wood and cut a hole in the front for the watch face to poke through and duct taped it inside the box.
How do you hang and heavy clock on the "Brick" part of your fireplace?
Nov 17, 2007 by sefnificent
Measure exactly where you want it with a sharpie pen, have someone help you do this, then get a hammer drill and drill about 1 inch into the brick, get a hammer and lightly put in a toggle (plastic) into the brick, then screw in a screw, make sure it is tight yet accessible to the clock, then hang, clean up the mess from the brick - this should to it and good luck!!! You can get all of these items from Lowe's or Home Depot. Ask a sales rep what you are doing and chances are the clock if it is new-has all the attachments.....
