Michelangelo Homes' Villa Navona model residence open for viewing at Quail West

A Canterra glass-and-iron double-door provides a fitting entry to Michelangelo Homes’ Villa Navona model residence at Quail West, a 1,180-acre master-planned luxury golf course community in North Naples.

Raised-panel Italian art work lines a curved staircase of African mahogany and wrought-iron that serves as the focal point of the Navona’s foyer. A glass-and-wrought-iron chandelier is suspended from a 24-foot coffered ceiling that features African mahogany crown moulding and a faux finished detail. The floor is polished marble with accents.

This residence includes 5,397 square feet under air, four bedrooms, a study, game room, four full-baths, two half-baths, a pool bath and a three-car garage. Precast facing and columns, oversized brick-pavers on the driveway and marble pavers at the front entrance provide curb appeal.

All of the doors, base boards, moulding and casing are imported woods. The flooring in the main living areas is Turkish chipped-edge marble in an Ashlar pattern. The primary color palette includes neutrals, beiges and light to medium blue accents.

I tried to light a fire in the fireplace using lighter fluid but it kept going out. Any tips on how to keep the fire going???
PLEASE, never do that again. You get little wood, like about a foot long, crumble up newspaper and make like a tee pee with the wood sticks over the newspaper. Light the newspaper. Gradually add somewhat bigger pieces of wood.

I need to replace a log lighter in a fireplace with the valve/burner for propane. What do I need?

Fireplace currently is wood burning or gas (propane fueled) with key valve in place. It has a log lighter in the actual fireplace. I need to replace or convert the log lighter to accept the propane burner. Thank you.
essentially, your first need would be a gas fitter...this is something experienced trades people should be doing as it involves orifice changes and a different regulator and there is no room for experimentation.
