Carnegie tour season approaches
May 19, 2012 | This year’s theme for the event is “Raise the Roof,” because proceeds raised will help benefit the museum’s ongoing campaign to install a new roof. Every week for the next four weeks, The Sentinel will preview each home. HANFORD — Welcome spring with a special event presented by the Hanford Carnegie Museum. This week we preview the home of Carl and Denise Domingos:. The museum’s annual Heritage League Home Tour starts at 10 a. m. on April 14. Then, everyone will embark on a tour of each of the four featured homes. Addresses and directions for each home will be given upon the purchase of a tour ticket. The event kicks off with coffee, tea, a bake sale and guest lecturers at the museum. As you stroll up to the
gated entrance of the Domingos property, the word “stately” immediately comes to mind. This two-story colonial sits on two acres and is located on a sleepy street in north Hanford. An ivy-covered fence
surrounds the property and the large yard is graced with old, established trees and shrubbery.
