Even if you're not in the market for a new-construction home, it's fun to see the latest offerings by homebuilders, who are trying to wow buyers with up-to-the minute trends. Like browsing a favorite home-furnishing store, model homes give us ideas and push us to keep our decor and finishes up-to-date. Here are 10 trends we've noticed in local model homes.

Elegant neutrals

Beige by itself is boring. But a combination of white, cream and brown neutrals mixed with great textures can be simply elegant. In a modern new-model great room at the Village at Paradise Reserve in Paradise Valley, neutrals reign. The floors are a beachy pickled white oak and creamy travertine. The towering stacked-stone fireplace is a textured mix of creams and browns, and the furniture is comfortable and understated in earthy tones.

"When people walk in, they get a sense of ease," said Scottsdale designer Robyn Randall, who led the design team for the new luxury model by Cullum Homes. "The decor is not overdone. It's just very clean and peaceful."

I am interested in selling a used Preway Freestanding Fireplace. Model FB26F-M. How much should i list it for?

I'm not sure how old it is. But i would prefer to sell it to someone who wants it vs. it standing useless in my home. Like i said, a Preway Freestanding Fireplace Model # FB26F-M. From what i can tell, everything looks great physically. I'm not sure if it works but only because we have never tried. If anyone knows about how much i should ask for that would be great!
There are a few listed on Ebay that haven't sold - they look overpriced to me at $500 - $900 - I would put it on Craigslist.org for free and offer it for $400 - but it will be hard to sell this time of year, you may want to wait until fall or be prepared to take much less for it.

Where can I find door kit model 793412 for Marco fireplace model 7928628?

I am trying to add a door or glass to this fireplace. The Marco website say Marco fireplaces are no longer manufactured. I would rather use the doors made for te model if possible; since it appears holes are already been drilled in the housing.
You might try going back to the page, then to the Lennox link, and find a dealer using the zip code. Contact them and maybe?
