Lucifer Furnaces Deliver Dual Chamber Heat Treating Furnace
May 19, 2012 | An SCR power supply automatically adjusts voltage to the heating elements as resistance increases, providing a steady, low amperage and voltage supply for longer element life. An SCR power supply eliminates the manual adjustment of tap switches and power transformer as well as the costly method of on/off control which reduced element life. Silicon carbide elements mounted across the roof and below the silicon carbide hearth plate produce heat to 2450°F. Seven inches of dry-fit multilayered lightweight insulating firebrick and mineral wool block insulation provide energy efficient operation and low outside shell temperature. The HSGT upper hardening chamber is designed for a positive flow of inert atmosphere, with continuous welds and gasketed
door, roof plate and element terminals. Materials to be heat treated include but are not limited to
Stainless Steels and High Nickel Alloy castings.

Fuse in furnace control board keeps blowing?
May 26, 2006 by rlb71636
I have a Jantrol GMP 100-4. The 3 amp fuse blows a lot. Today the Air cond. ran for 8 hours. Then when it kicked off it didn't kick back on . The fuse was blown. I put in a new 24V transformer and a new control board. Any ideas out there. Thanks for your help.
You probably have a short in either of the t-stat wires to ground. The transformers in the units are grounded to the common wire, so if the wire gets a short to ground, or the metal case on the furnace or A/C, it will blow the fuse immediately. Also if one of the 24V coils has grounded out, it will do the same thing when the t-stat is turned on. If it blows right after you out the power on and no t-stat call, then the wire is shorted. Sometimes 24 Volt shorts are a hard one to find. Good luck!
I replaced the primary control on my oil furnace after it burned up.I still cant get the furnace to light. ?

I hit the reset switch on my furnace and the primary control switch burned up. I replaced it but now it still wont start. The fan motor is running but nothing else. Could the primary wiring not be correct?
Im sure thats the way that it is wired. Our a/c was freezing up over the summer and it had leaked water into the furnace when it thawed. Could this have caused a problem?
