In Fugitives, Smith leaves the relative literary safety of Furnace, and has to really step up his world-building. In this book, there are new horrors, worse than any found in Furnace. For example, a kind of zombie/reverse vampire. If that doesn't make sense to you, read the book.I definitely loved the fact that escaping didn't make anything better. Obviously, I thought law enforcement would be against the escaping convicts, but the broadening of the scope of what was going on made it pretty epic. I look forward to finding out just exactly what Furnace has been doing in the next book; Alex's view and knowledge of what's happening is limited, and we can only know what he does.Smith's bread and butter is monsters and mayhem. He does that well, and comes up with such strange and creepy creatures that I do not envy him his dreams. Anyway, I want to give him props for also drawing attention to the fact that regular people can be just as bad, possibly worse (?) than...

I couldnt describe what it was like reading this book. It was heart pounding and very suspensful chapter by chapter. This series has amazed me by every new book published. This has been the best in the sereies yet. If you already love this series you will absolutley love this book.

So i went to turn on my furnace for the first time this year and no heat will blow out.....there is a fire going good in it ....but no heat will blow out....like it wont turn on.....what could be some problems

How long did you have the heater on? It needs to be running for a few minutes before the blower will come on.
There is a thermal switch that turns on the blower. It could be bad, or the blower motor could be bad. On your thermostat is there a switch for the fan that says "auto" and "on"? If so, turn the switch to on, and see if the blower comes on. If so, the thermal switch is probably bad.

Does furnace duct work need to be replaced when an old furnace is replaced with a new furnace?

We are replacing our furnace and do not know if the duct work needs to be replaced to. Also our furnace is 19 years old and so is the duct work.

The ducts should be fine unless you've had some water leaks. I would advise having the ducts cleaned by a professional in case there's any gunk built up.
