To put the percentage in context, one should also look at the volumes of natural gas that are being consumed and produced in the United States. Consumption over the past decade simplistically declined until 2006, whereafter it has increased, though the EIA now anticipate that it will now stabilize.

The 11% of volume thus translates to about 2 Tcf per year . They are most commonly found in Appalachia, Texas and Oklahoma. The roughly 300,000 stripper gas well total should be put in the context of a total of around 493,000 total gas wells in the USA in 2009.

There is likely thus to be some engagement in terms of the price of the product and thus volumes sold, between imported LNG, domestic conventional gas and shale gas. It will be interesting to see how that develops in the near future.

I just wanted to find out the temperature range of the FIRE of a burning gas stove. (it being on full blast or not doesn't really matter: I'm talking abt the flame itself)

It is best to measure the tewmperature as there are many different compositions of natural gas.

It is estimated though that the average is around 3000 Farenheit (1648.89 Celsius).

Possible to convert gas fireplace to log burning?

We have a gas burning fireplace and are looking to see if it is possible to convert it to a log burning fireplace. If it is possible what would the conversion process be?
I had a gas fireplace for years, and I know how you feel. I looked into it and the contractor that came out said that my firebox and flu setup were completely different and it would cost 2 to 3 thousand dollars to have it done. Most are this way, but you'd be best off to have someone look at it.
