Heater reported stolen

CALEDONIA - A man reported at about 11:21 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, from the 6300 block of Wilm Court in Caledonia that his Modine heater had been stolen from where it had been hanging in a tree near an old greenhouse on his property. The heater, which didn't work and was about 14 years old, was valued at $500, according to Caledonia police reports. He told police he spotted the heater in the back of a rusty, old Chevrolet S10 pickup truck while driving northbound on Interstate 94, and went home to check whether it was his. That's when he discovered that his was missing, police reports stated. The pickup driver was described as a black male in his 40s or 50s with a thin build and scruffy hair. The driver was wearing blue overalls.

Franksville area man reports threat

CALEDONIA - A Franksville area man reported to Racine County sheriff's deputies at 3:38 p.m. Wednesday that a man threatened via phone that his truck would be damaged on Thursday after a dispute about the way a July 15 truck crash was being handled by their mutual insurance agency.
