PMFG, Inc. Awarded Environmental Systems Orders With Combined Value Of $4.7 M
May 22, 2012 | The second order includes two SCR systems for NOx emissions control and oxidation catalysts for Carbon Monoxide/Volatile Organic Compounds ("CO/VOC") emissions control for a new, natural-gas-fired combined-cycle power generation facility in the... The SCR system will be applied to a fired heater used in the NGL process to transform Nitrogen Oxide ("NOx") emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. This project has a delivery schedule for the equipment that extends from the third quarter of fiscal year 2013 through the second quarter of fiscal year 2014. The first order is for a Selective Catalytic Reduction ("SCR") system for a fractionation facility in the United States that will produce 100,000 barrels per day of natural gas liquids ("NGL"). The equipment for this order is scheduled for delivery by the third quarter of fiscal year 2013. 56% today announced it was awarded two orders for environmental emissions control equipment valued in excess of $4.

Is a catalytic heater safe to use indoors ?
Sep 30, 2008 by Terry
I am going camping in my fifth wheel this weekend and it gets pretty cool at night. I am wondering if a catalytic heater(uses propane) will be safe to use. On the box it states it is safe to use indoors for home emergencies , ice fishing, etc,But will it be safe in a small enclosed area? I realize a window will need to be open for fresh air.
Anything that produces heat energy burns oxygen, especially something that has a flame (your catalytic heater DOES though you may not see it). As a result, there is Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide to be concerned about and Ventilation is a Key element for using one.
Don't just keep one vent open... but afford cross-ventilation. It will still keep the area warm and I would suggest having it located where you won't roll over onto it or toss part of a sleeping bag onto it. I hung mine from the center support of the tent about 3 feet down from the top... it warmed the roof but didn't make it hot and I used wire to secure it (cord may burn).
Who still uses a Coleman fuel catalytic heater for camping?
Dec 22, 2008 by bobo
Does anyone still use a COLEMAN catalytic heater that burns Coleman Liquid fuel (not propane) for camping? Do you use it in a tent? How much ventilation do you provide in the tent? I'm a little worried about Carbon Monoxide if I use it in the tent.
Liquid Coleman fuel; Heater, not a cooking stove. It has a catalytic dome that glows red and provides heat. I used it in a garage with a carbon monoxide detector and the detector registered zero. I know it uses up oxygen.
Don't use this in a tent unless you have all the vents open to the tent. They are not very efficient heating devices in really cold weather in a tent. I've heard of several people who have died using those type of heaters in tents without adequate ventilation.
What i've done in the past is bought a gas powered generator and i used quartz radiant heaters when i was out camping in the mountains in the snow and sub zero temperatures.
These days i use a battery i removed from a bulldozer and use quartz heaters. Works really good for 2-3 days then i just hook up some cables to my truck battery start up and recharge the large battery for about 30 minutes every 2 or 3 days.
