Great little heater for small spaces, It does a much better job than oil filled heaters that take more power, Wall mounting is easy with a given template. I really like this heater and bought a 2nd one too!

Second one I have purchased. Great for heating a small room (bathroom, inside porch, mudroom). Just remember do NOT TIGHTEN completely! Ceramic board does need to expand when turned on. (Learned that one on the first purchase!) Placed this one in our mudroom.......no more cold coats and shoes in the morning! Need one more for an unheated bathroom. Economical too!

I purchased the econo heat 0603 E-Heater in white a couple of weeks ago. It arrived in the manufacturer packaging, undamaged, in good condition. No cracks, wear, etc. Plugged it in, works great ! This isnt going to "throw" heat but rather gently warm the space you intend to occupy. Plug it in early and come back to a nice warm space, takes a little while. Good part is it does not appear to damage anything heat or burn wise that is at least 2 " away from the unit. I do not however, agree that it is warm to touch and wouldn't burn you. It does get hot. That said, I left it on all night sitting flat on the floor, being supported only by the little 1-2" feet it came with. On a vinyl or lenoleum floor, it did not burn, char, heat up or anything (again, it was about 2 inches off the floor). The only thing (which I guess is my fault) that I didn't like about it is that it is much bigger than I expected, and probably won't work in the space I intended, before ordering. Still, it...

Propane Heater: Convection or Infrared which is better?

I'm thinking about putting a wall-mounting propane heater in my house. I just started looking at them and found that there are two general types, Convection and Infrared. What are the benefits or disadvantages of each type?

Go with a direct vent unit. These take in air from outside, burn it with the fuel in a sealed type combustion chamber and put the products of combustion back outside. There is no direct communication between the air you breathe in the house and the burner of the heater. These are the safest units out there. Also the efficiency rating on these types of heaters is a lot better than any infrared unit would be. A company called Empire ( www.empirecomfort.com ) makes several excellent units. One of the more economical and popular units is the DV-35, which has a remote thermostat and you can attach an optional blower fan to it.

Electrical convection heater and cancer?

I mostly use an electrical convection heater in my room. Recently, I heard from a friend that radiations produced by the elements are fatal and can cause cancer. Is this correct?

I would say there are millions of these heaters in homes in America, and they do not pose a increased risk of cancer.

You are more likely to get cancer from a handheld radio transmitter (cell phone) than something like a electric heater. A wireless bluetooth, while being a very low power device, is a constant radio transmitter attached to your ear, so not much better. A wired earpiece is much better if you spend a lot of time on the phone.

As for your body, I am beginning to believe that you will always have cancerous cells going through your body, but because your bloodstream is 7.4 PH and cancer can not reproduce at 8.0 PH, and will die in a few hours at 8.5 PH, you can prevent cancer by not being acidic. All cancer patients are acidic, because the cancer creates a more acidic environment for itself.

So drink lots of soft drinks and become a host to cancer. Eat healthier foods that are not acidic, and become a person that can not host cancer cell reproduction. Even this guy was able to survive cancer by killing the cancer cells in his body with 9.5 PH water.
