I am wiring a sauna heater 5kw what type and size of wire should I use. Will I also need a seperate gound?
Apr 17, 2007 by gotzblues06
The appliance is likely to be 220V which will need 3 core double insulated cable with separate earth and 6 sq mm wires.
Better get a contractor to do it, it's entirely different to wiring a domestic power point and you'll need to modify your distribution board.
How I do operate a sauna? Do I have to pour water in the heater?
May 25, 2009 by kisses 4 u
I am staying in a cabin this week and the room has a sauna. We dont know how to operate it. Do we have to por water in the heater (where the rocks are)????
HELP!!!!!
1. Turn the temperature up in the sauna so it gets to about 150-200°F (65-95°C).
2. After it's had some time to heat, use the bucket to wash off the benches and walls. Let the water soak in for about 30 mins.
3. Use the sauna dry for as long as it feels comfortable. When you're too hot, go out side, or take a shower / swim to cool down. Drink something so you don't get dehydrated.
4. When you're ready repeat. If you're feeling adventurous, you can now start to put some water on the rocks (make sure the heater doesn't have a sign telling you not to do this). This will increase the feeling of heat from the sauna.
5. Repeat as often as you like.
